For several years now, Glasgow Translation Services have successfully been providing Norwegian certified translations to our clients. At some point in your life, you may be required to get a certified translation of a document, which will need to be presented to an official entity such as:

What exactly is a Norwegian certified translation in the UK?
According to the instructions by the UK government, the translated document should be accompanied by a translation certificate with the following details:
- Verification that the translation is a true and accurate translation of the document provided.
- Date the translation is carried out.
- The contact details of the Norwegian certified translator or a representative of the Norwegian translation company.
- See Gov.UK for more information.
If the Norwegian certified translation adheres to the above requirements, it is valid and accepted for official use in the UK. In our experience, other countries also accept this type of official translation, especially those countries that do not have a sworn translation system in place.

When performing Norwegian certified translations, it is imperative that our Norwegian translators be provided with a clear and high-quality scan of your document in order to ensure that the translation will be accurate. Furthermore, if there are any stamps or markings of any kind on the reverse of the document, please include a scan of this within your email as well.
How to send your Norwegian documents to us for translation
For a Norwegian certified translation, we can work from high-quality scans. Luckily, there is no need to send the originals in order to perform a certified translation correctly. However, it is of course very important that you send the scans in high resolution so that everything is clear for the Norwegian certified translator. If there are any markings or stamps on the reverse of the documents, these also should be scanned and sent across to us, as they also need to be translated.
We accept all formats of documents for Norwegian certified translation; PDF, JPEG, Microsoft Word, etc. Once we have received your request and your documents for certified translation, we will run a word count on the files and revert very quickly with a quote and timescale. This quote is not at all binding, and we will not proceed with your Norwegian certified translation until you confirm that you wish to proceed. Our standard processing time for small jobs is two to three business days. We do offer a rush service (at an additional cost) if you require your Norwegian certified translation more urgently.
